PARSIPPANY, NJ (February 17, 1998) – ERA Franchise Systems LLC, the world's fourth largest residential real estate network, has signed a master franchise agreement with Orlando Gonzalez-Arias for the development of ERA Real Estate offices in Portugal. The addition of ERA Portugal brings the franchise into 21 foreign countries in which ERA franchise rights have been sold, and 16 countries in which ERA offices are operating.
"Along with Spain, France and Italy, Portugal is a magnet for northern European real estate investment," said Bill Heavener, ERA European Director. "ERA Portugal will have an advantage by offering consumers the best real estate services in the country."
Gonzalez-Arias acquired the rights to the ERA franchise on January 31, 1998. As a founder of Look & Find S.A. in Spain, which joined ERA in September 1995, he is familiar with ERA products and services and is excited about bringing the ERA system to Portugal.
"If we can train brokers in the use of ERA sales techniques and provide them with the ERA tools, products and management development programs, we can grow to more than 100 offices in the next five years," said Gonzalez-Arias. "By providing existing agents and brokers with innovate products and services, and showing them how to make their businesses more efficient and profitable, brokers, agents, the public and ERA stand to gain."
