PARSIPPANY, NJ (February 16, 2001) – ERA Franchise Systems LLC has announced the promotion of P.J. Martin Smith to Senior Vice President of Marketing. She had been Vice President of Service Support for the corporation.
Based at ERA global headquarters, Smith will oversee the implementation of all marketing initiatives, including interactive marketing, advertising, public relations and direct marketing. She will also work closely with franchisees to assist them in optimizing the value of their affiliation with ERA. Reporting directly to the ERA President and COO, Brenda Casserly, Smith replaces Deborah Bifulco who is leaving the company to pursue other business interests.
Smith's career in the real estate industry spans more than 30 years, and includes extensive management experience. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Service Support, responsible for development, integration and implementation of service systems for ERA franchisees, including the ERA Customer Service Team and ERA Select Services program.
Prior to joining ERA Franchise Systems in 1999, Smith was Vice President of Marketing for Burgdorff ERA in Murray Hill, NJ. In addition to once owning and managing a real estate brokerage company in northern New Jersey, Smith's professional experience includes marketing management positions with Fortune 500 companies, such as Clairol, Bristol-Myers, Arcata Corporation and Berkey Marketing Company.
Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ramapo College (NJ) and a MBA from Pace University (NY). She also holds the GRI and CRB designations and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of New Jersey.
